Boys Varsity Bowling · Longhorns Advance, Runner Up Finish in Medina

  Place Points
Lutheran High School West 2nd 3450

Our Longhorn Boys team had a great day on the lanes, advancing in the OHSAA Sectional tournament at AMF Medina Lanes.

This is only the 2nd time in school history we advanced (last time was 2017/18). A season-high 224 Baker game, in our last game of the day kept us on the leaderboard.

We had three bowlers place in the top 9 in the individual category: Freshman JT Maslanich placed 3rd with a 616, while seniors Derrick Hollis and Nick Schneider were 8th & 9th with a 547 & 539 series. Derrick and Nick were sophomores when we last advanced. On to Spevock’s Nautical Lanes next Sunday at Noon for District play.

On the girls side, Sky Zavatsky was our high Lady Longhorn, with a 30th place finish, Lol Zielinski was 36th, and Jailah Hollon finished 53rd. We didn’t have a Lady Longhorn team this season, so our 3 bowled as individuals.
