The Longhorns finished a respectable 9th out of 13 teams in the Avon Lake District tournament today. Unfortunately, only the top 4 teams advance to the State Finals, and we couldn’t keep up with the higher scoring pace.
There was indeed some good news, as Freshman JT Maslanich rolled a nice 685 series, 2nd in the tournament and it qualifies him for the State Finals as an individual.205-244-236 were JT’s games today (he bowls February 28th in Columbus).
Seniors Nick Schneider and Derrick Hollis, both 4 year Lettermen, finished their careers with a 562 and 527 series. Nick and Derrick were part of the only two advancing Longhorn teams in the OHSAA playoffs. Congrats and good luck to them in their future endeavors.
